As an Elite Athlete, Its important to have a strong mental game. As the great Yogi Berra once said "The game is 90% mental".
The reason i chose this book is because i want to improve upon my mental game. I travel the country playing baseball. My second home is Houston, Texas. during the summer i live down their and play baseball from May-August. The team i play for is the #1 team in the nation and is loaded with a bunch of highly trained athletes. So with that being said, I'm constantly improving my Physical game. When your constantly improving your physical game, when do u work on your mental game?
When every i travel, I'm constantly watching documentaries or reading other books about improving my mental approach on the airplane or riding in the car. This book grabbed my attention because its "An Athletes Guide To Inner Excellence". It hope this book helps me gain an edge of the mental game of baseball

The Blind Side- Michael Lewis
The
theme of The Blind Side is to never give up. This is the theme because
Michael never gave up on the football field or in the classroom despite his
learning disabilities. He always looked for help if he was having trouble with
something.
(Pg. 286 Lewis)
"Never give up" not only for Michael but also for the Tuohy family because Leigh Anne Tuohy was determined to make sure Michael had a nice home to live in, have new clothes, plenty of food and water to survive, and most importantly a family to love and care for.

“ So often given the benefit of doubts,
Michael Oher now set out to confirm the wisdom of the people who showed so
much faith in him.”
